Yet another one of my favorites, Ludwig Von Drake in Disneyland. Made by Aladdin in 1962, this lunchbox is another great conversation piece and collectible.
One of Disney's most lover characters, Ludwig Von Drake was Donald Duck's scientific uncle by marriage. Von Drake married Donald's aunt Matilda McDuck, who was Scrooge McDuck's sister. Born in Vienna, Von Drake appeared for the first time on an episode of Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color on September 24, 1961. This is the first beautiful lunchbox that was among the first to establish Disney's strong catalogue. What's nice is the lunchbox is it's embossed lid, which features Ludwig Von Drake inspecting the native fauna of Disneyland's Matterhorn Mountain.
Other panels on the lunchbox feature Pirates of the Caribbean, Main Street, Western Town and Jungle Cruise. He colors on the lunchbox are still bright, clear and shinny, with minimal rim ware or dings, and a shinny handle clasps and lid latch. The inside is extremely clean with no corrosion, the thermos holder is in place, and has the "Safety First" rule from the National Safety Council with graphics, as can be seen in the pictures.
The metal thermos is in excellent condition with bright and clear graphics, and comes complete with stopper, cup and glass insert. Another great Disney collectible that displays wonderfully.
