Disney Legend MARC DAVIS Sketch ROGER BROGGIE Anniversary Signed 1968 Vintage. "GEE, ROGER, YOU DON'T LOOK OLD ENOUGH TO HAVE BEEN THERE 29 YEARS". Hand drawn sketch by Marc Davis with Marc on the left and Roger on the right, they are both sketched as older men with canes, excellent depiction of Marc's sense of humor. Dated Aug 1968; Roger Broggie started at Disney in 1939.

Davis joined Disney in 1935 as an apprentice animator on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Over the years he animated on classic Disney features such as Song of the South, Cinderella, Bambi, Sleeping Beauty, Alice in Wonderland, 101 Dalmatians and many shorts. He was the man who animated both Maleficent and Cruella De Vil.

He later transferred to Disney's design and development organization, today known as Walt Disney Imagineering. As one of Disney's original Imagineers, Davis contributed whimsical story and character concepts for such Disneyland attractions as the Enchanted Tiki Room, it's a small world, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and Jungle Cruise.

Not only is Davis known as one of Disney's Nine Old Men he was also inducted as a Disney Legend in 1989. Marc was honored with a window on Main Street, U. Marc Davis passed away in January 2000. Broggie started at Disney in 1939 as a precision machinist. Worked with Walt Disney to create the model trains at Walt's home. Supervised the building of the Lilly Belle. Headed the Disney Studios Machine Shop and was the transportation specialist.

Roger was named a Disney Legend in 1990. On March 30, 2007, Roger was honored with a window on Main Street, U. Roger passed away Nov 4, 1991.
